The single overhead camshaft (SOHC), which opens and closes the intake and exhaust valves, is located over the cylinders, directly operating the valvetrain. This construction is highly efficient, with fewer moving parts than an OHV design. A single overhead camshaft also makes multiple intake and exhaust valves practical. Safety and Security Ignition immobilizer is a passive means of security. It consists of a transmitter embedded within the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. These two circuits must be present, and must recognize each other before the vehicle will start. Anti-roll control uses gyroscopic sensors to gauge both the roll angle of the vehicle and the rate at which the roll angle is changing.
